    タイトル×カバーで購入決定。

    おもしろすぎるでしょ。

    でも、それだけでピンとくるものはある。

    昔の神話とかも、はじまりはこんな感じだったのかもしれない。

    ネットとかSNS、出版とかの「知識/コンテンツが一定の量で1対nで伝えらえるツール」が無かった時代に、局地的に発生した「古のピカチュウ」。

    それが口伝とか壁画とかで伝わり、尾びれ背びれがついていき、徐々にミーム化、日常の慣用句や喩え話に使われるようになり……そして神話になっていった。

    1000年前のピカチュウが、そうやって今、神話になっている。

    1000年後、今のピカチュウはどう伝わっているのか。

    非常に気になる。

    中はまだ数ページ斜め読みしただけだけど、それでも十分に上記のような想像とか示唆を得られている。

    しっかり読みたい1冊。

    　随分前にありますが、現代思潮社でロラン・バルトの書いた神話作用という本が出版されていました。この本を受けて中沢さんは今日のミトロジーを出されています。これの続編にあたるのが今回のいま、ここにある神話というわけですね。

    　世界で起こるいろいろな事象の裏で働く神話的思考の世界を明らかしてくれます。当然国とか民族によってそのあらわれ方は異なるのでしょう。

    　但し、竹林の七賢的な議論に陥っているところは残念です。

    テレビのコメンテーターの話を延々と聞かされている感覚がしました。ランダムなトピックについて根拠の乏しい主張が最後まで続き、気持ち悪い読後感。エッセイとして楽しむとしても共感が湧かないし、新鮮さがない。高かったので、通読しましたが精神的にきつかったです。
