    Summary

Non-free media information and use rationale true for Fuecoco
    Description

Fuecoco as depicted in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

    Source

Promotional material distributed by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Sourced from the official Pokémon website.

    Article

    Fuecoco

    Portion used

Entire image, as it is being used to illustrate the appearance and features of the character as a whole. Therefore, a partial image would be inadequate for its stated purpose.

    Low resolution?

The copy is of sufficient resolution for commentary and identification, but of significantly inferior quality to the original that it would be unsuitable for use as artwork on pirate merchandise or other uses that would compete with the commercial purpose of the original artwork.

    Purpose of use

For use in the infobox of the article dedicated to character, to show the character a recognizable form. The image forms a core part of both the article's identity and the commentary on the character, a function which cannot be performed with text alone.

    Replaceable?

No, since it is an image of a character whose copyright is believed to belong to Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, no free alternative of similar quality could possibly exist.

    CopyrightedCopyrighted
This image is an illustration of a character or characters in a comic book, video game, or animated television program or film. The copyright for it is most likely held by either the publisher/producer and/or artist(s) producing the work in question. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of character artwork:
    • for commentary on the character or characters in question,
    • where no free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information,
    • on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation,
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information.
