Overview

Tsurugi 1.11.1 is a maintenance release for Tsurugi 1.11.0, focused primarily on bug fixes.

We strongly recommend all users of previous versions to upgrade to this release.

New Features and Improvements

New Features and Improvements - SQL

• Added support for table aliases in UPDATE and DELETE statements
  • It is now possible to specify a table alias for the table name used in UPDATE and DELETE statements.
  • The table alias can be specified either by using the AS clause or by omitting the AS clause.
  • Table aliases can also be used when referencing a table in the outer query from within a correlated subquery.
  • Example:

    -- Specifying a table alias in an UPDATE statement using the AS clause:
    UPDATE t_update AS t SET v = 99 WHERE t.k = 3;
    -- Specifying a table alias in an UPDATE statement without the AS clause:
    UPDATE t_update t SET v = 99 WHERE t.k = 3;
    -- Specifying a table alias in a DELETE statement using the AS clause:
    DELETE FROM t_delete AS t WHERE t.k = 3;
    -- Specifying a table alias in a DELETE statement without the AS clause:
    DELETE FROM t_delete t WHERE t.k = 3;

Bug Fixes

Bug Fixes - SQL

• Fixed an issue where the database could terminate abnormally when executing queries with correlated subqueries under certain conditions
  • This fixes a bug in the correlated subquery feature added in Tsurugi 1.11.0, where executing queries that meet certain conditions could cause the database to terminate abnormally.
  • This issue can occur in SELECT statements containing correlated subqueries when columns referenced in JOIN clauses or WHERE clauses are not included in the SELECT list.
