この曲は、ギリシャ神話の「パンドラの箱」をモチーフにしています。
箱を開けたら、
恐れや悲しみ、孤独や古い声があふれ出す。
けれど、それを閉じずに見つめていくと、
すべてが通り過ぎたあと、
箱の底には静寂が残っている。
そして、その静寂の奥から、
希望が静かに湧き上がってくる。
この曲の中で繰り返される Elpis は、
“希望”を表す言葉として使っています。
希望は、空から降ってくるものではない。
誰かが与えてくれるものでもない。
自分の内側の深い静寂から、
滾々と湧いてくるもの。
「Pandora」は、
GIBONのやわらかな声と、
英語の静かな祈りのような響きが重なった、

Pandoraのテーマは、
“希望は、自分の内側から湧いてくる”ということ。
自分と深く向き合うとき、
最初に出てくるのは、
見ないようにしていた感情かもしれません。
恐れ。
悲しみ。
孤独。
古い声。
名前のつかない痛み。
それでも箱を閉じずに、
それらを見つめていく。
すると、すべてが通り過ぎたあとに、
深い静寂が残る。
そして、その静寂の奥から、
希望が湧き上がってくる。
