#10  My attempt is rather to relate firstly, the origin and sources of our chivalry; secondly, its character and teaching; thirdly, its influence among the masses; and, fourthly, the continuity and permanence of its influence.

私の訳：私の試みは寧ろ第一に我が武士道の起源および淵源、第二にその特性及び教訓、第三にその民衆に及ぼした感化、第四にその感化の継続性、永久性を述べることにある。

矢内原訳：私の試みは寧ろ第一に我が武士道の起源および淵源、第二にその特性 及び 教訓、第三にその民衆に及ぼしたる感化、第四にその感化の継続性、永久性を述ぶるにある。

櫻井訳：予の目的は、第一、日本武士道の淵源。第二、其 特質と敎訓。第三、社會全般に及ぼせる其 感化。第四、其 感化の持續  如何の此の四問題に就きて、之が說明を試みんとするに在り。
