#19. More frequently it is a code unuttered and unwritten, possessing all the more the powerful sanction of veritable deed, and of a law written on the fleshly tablets of the heart.

私の訳：寧ろそれは語られず書かれざる掟、心の肉碑に録された律法であることが多い。不言不文であるだけ、実行によって一層力強い効力を認められているのである。

矢内原忠雄 訳：寧ろそれは語られず書かれざる掟、心の肉碑に録されたる律法たることが多い。不言不文であるだけ、実行によって一層力強き効力を認められて居るのである。

櫻井鴎村 訳：要するに、武士道の由りて以て典型とせるものは、即ち古人の昌言 懿行なり、又た 人心の方寸に銘せる制裁最も嚴なる神の律法なり。
