大牟田名物 ～イカタル弁当の紹介～

今回は、ちょっとやわらかめのネタです。

本日、福岡県大牟田市の名物「イカタル弁当」を買ってきました。

イカタル弁当を知らない方のために、少し説明しますね。

海苔を敷いたご飯の上に、カラッと揚がった「イカゲソの唐揚げ」を乗せ、さらに卵たっぷりの「タルタルソース」を豪快にかけたメニューです。

主な特徴

• 発祥
  1980年代に、大牟田市の店舗「マイキッチン（現・カントリーキッチン）」で考案されたのが始まりと言われています。

• 味わい
  プリプリとしたイカの食感と、濃厚なタルタルソースの組み合わせが抜群で、やみつきになる美味しさです。

• バリエーション
  現在では市内の複数のお弁当屋さんで販売されており、タルタル増量版や、ミートソースを合わせた「ミーター」と呼ばれるアレンジも存在します。

個人的には、このタルタルソースがたまらなく美味しいですね。絶品です。

イカタル弁当を食べるためだけに、大牟田へ来る価値があると思います（笑）

Introducing Omuta’s Famous “Ika-Taru Bento”

This time, I’d like to share something a little lighter.

Today, I bought Omuta City’s famous “Ika-Taru Bento” in Fukuoka Prefecture.

For those who may not know what an Ika-Taru Bento is, let me briefly explain.

It’s a dish made with rice topped with seaweed, crispy fried squid tentacles, and then generously covered with rich, egg-filled tartar sauce.

Main Features

• Origin
  It is said to have originated in the 1980s at a restaurant in Omuta called “My Kitchen” (now known as “Country Kitchen”).

• Flavor
  The combination of the chewy squid and the rich tartar sauce is outstanding and incredibly addictive.

• Variations
  Today, several bento shops in Omuta sell their own versions. Some offer extra tartar sauce, while others serve an arrangement called “Meater,” which adds meat sauce to the dish.

Personally, I think the tartar sauce is absolutely irresistible. It’s truly delicious.

Honestly, coming all the way to Omuta just to eat an Ika-Taru Bento would still be worth it（笑）
