The Beatles "Hey Jude"

I drew The Beatles from the album Hey Jude (original title: The Beatles Again). Hey Jude is an album of singles that were not included in the album, released in 1970. It is said that the cover design was chosen by mistake because the front and back photos were swapped, but I think they must have made some prototypes before the release, so it seems that the decision was made after looking at those. By the way, the photo session for this cover was two days after the photo shoot for the album Abbey Road, and it is interesting that the clothes of the three members other than John are very similar to those in Abbey Road.

アルバムHey JudeのThe Beatlesを描いてみた。Hey Judeは悪評高いマネージャーAllen Klein（The Rolling StonesやCCRのマネージャーもしていた。 ）が企画したアルバム未収録のシングル曲を集めたアルバムで1970年にリリースされたもの。

カバーデザインは表と裏の写真が誤って入れ違いで採用されたと言われているがリリース前にいくつかのプロト・タイプを制作しているはずなのでそれをみての判断だったと思われる。

ちなみにこのカバーのフォト・セッションはアルバムAbbey Roadの撮影2日後とのことでJohn以外の3人の服装がAbbey Roadのそれととてもよく似ているのが面白い。

僕は中学生の頃このアルバムをレンタル・レコード店で見たのが初めてでThe Ballad of John and Yokoで終わるおかしな選曲のため今までずっと無視していた。最近になってiOSアプリのMusic（旧iTunes）でプレイリストを作って流してみたら新鮮でなかなか面白かった。
