月島は小雨模様の朝でした

今日も朝6時過ぎ、まだ街がまどろみを残す時間にウォーキングを始めました。わずかに肌寒い――そんな、静かな湿り気をまとった月島の朝です。

昨日よりほんの少し距離を伸ばし、月島から勝どき、晴海へと足を運び、最後はまだ人影の少ないもんじゃ通りをゆっくりと抜けて帰路につきました。

早い時間帯は犬を連れて散歩する人、黙々とランニングを続ける人が目につきます。
7時が近づくと、通勤と思しき人々が増え、街のテンポが少しずつ速くなっていきます。

近年建てられた新しいマンション群は、もうすっかりこの街の顔になりました。
朝一番に、ほんの少しの時間歩くだけで気持ちが整っていきます。

I started my walk just after 6:00 a.m. today, while the city was still slumbering. It was a quiet, damp morning in Tsukishima, with just a hint of chill in the air.

I went a little further than yesterday, walking from Tsukishima through Kachidoki and Harumi, before finally heading home through the near-empty Monja Street.

In the early hours, I noticed people walking their dogs and others silently focused on their morning runs. As 7:00 a.m. approached, the number of commuters increased, and the pace of the city gradually quickened.

The modern apartment complexes built in recent years have truly become the face of this neighborhood. Just a short walk first thing in the morning helps me clear my mind and feel centered.
