Do more with Gemini on Google TV

Gemini for TV is an AI-powered assistant that allows you to use natural language to find TV shows and movies, receive recommendations, and ask questions.

  • Find what to watch: “What are some movies like Mission Impossible but funnier?”
  • Have conversations on any topic: “Can you explain the solar system to my third grader?”
  • Get help with everyday actions and routines: “Show me the backyard camera.”

Before you get started

We are updating the Gemini experience on Google TV to match the Gemini Apps you use on your phone, tablet or desktop. This new experience changes how Gemini connects to apps and manages your data. Learn more about Gemini Apps in the Gemini Apps Privacy Hub.

Your Gemini experience depends on your device model and software version. You can't manually switch between the new and original experience. Because this is rolling out gradually, your TV might have the new Gemini experience or the original Gemini experience.

Tip: To check which experience you have, go to Settings and then Accounts & Profiles and then Voice assistant. If you see a Connected Apps option, you have the new experience.

To use Gemini for TV responsibly:

  • Do not rely on responses from Gemini for TV as medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Gemini for TV models are continuously evolving and can sometimes provide inaccurate, offensive, or inappropriate information that doesn’t represent Google’s views.
  • Your feedback helps Gemini for TV learn, improve, and become more helpful and safe.
    • To rate Gemini for TV's response, select Thumbs up or Thumbs down .
    • To provide feedback, say “Send feedback.”

Use the new Gemini App on TV experience

The new Gemini experience brings the Gemini Apps directly to your TV. It gives you new ways to get personal results from connected apps, like Google Photos, and manage your activity in one place.
