Interesting that OpenAI is going for qualitative specializations within the family. This makes sense given their exquisite (if faltering lately) juice control: you can have "less of the same" by choosing lower effort, and otherwise need a Pareto optimal speed-depth hierarchy.

AutoResearch doesn't generalize. Without understanding, we're just worshiping its shit. A training trick, found by AutoResearch, leads to an overfitting disaster we call "forking", under a small change in setting. We (human researchers) dig into the mess and find why.
