Golf Channel relocating headquarters and studios??

[edit]

With the new NBC Sports Group headquarters and broadcast center in Stamford, Connecticut now officially open does anyone know if NBC Sports Group will consolidating Golf Channels operations from Orlando, Florida to their new facility in Stamford, I mean this seems like a logical step since their mainstream sports operations and NBC Olympics have all moved either from Hudson County in New Jersey or from 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Midtown Manhattan to Stamford. Could not find anything online to substantiate or give confirmation of a possible move. Anyone who know something please post so we can add it to the page. Answer: Golf Channel headquarters have remained in Orlando so that they would have more access to interviewing PGA pros, most of whom reside in Florida or nearby coastal Georgia & South Carolina.

Russell Henley’s caddie!

[edit]

Has anyone noticed that Russell Henley’s caddie Todd Gjesvold looks just like actor James Cromwell. Even sounds similar. Maybe it’s just me, but look for yourself I think you’ll agree. 75.106.141.172 (talk) 02:45, 16 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

2026 updates: Full Swing, Jim Furyk, Big Break, Golf Channel Games

[edit]

COI Disclosure: I work with Versant and have a conflict of interest on this article, so I am not editing it myself per WP:COI. What follows is suggested wording only, offered with sources for independent editors to evaluate, revise, or decline.

Four items from the past few months, each independently sourced. Item 3 corrects text that is now out of date.

1. Full Swing acquisition completed (History → Versant spin-off). The section says Versant "will acquire" Full Swing. The acquisition closed on August 3, 2026.

Current: "On July 6, 2026, Versant announced that it will acquire golf simulator manufacturer Full Swing for $530 million;"
Suggested: On July 6, 2026, Versant announced that it would acquire golf simulator manufacturer Full Swing for $530 million, a deal it completed on August 3, 2026;[1]

The remainder of the sentence and its existing citation would stay as is.

2. Jim Furyk as lead analyst (Programming → Event coverage, and Notable personalities → Analysts). Suggested addition at the end of the first paragraph of "Event coverage":

In August 2026, Golf Channel signed former PGA Tour player Jim Furyk to a multiyear agreement as its lead analyst for PGA Tour and men's major championship coverage, a role reported to begin in 2027.[2][3]

Suggested addition to the "Analysts" list, in alphabetical position: *[[Jim Furyk]]

3. Big Break revival (Programming → Non-event programming). The section says the series "would be revived for a 24th season in partnership with" Good Good. That season was postponed and then cancelled before airing. Suggested continuation after the existing sentence:

The revival, titled Big Break x Good Good, was scheduled to premiere on August 25, 2026, but Golf Channel postponed the premiere after a controversy over a Good Good advertisement and then cancelled the season.[4][5]

4. Second Golf Channel Games (Programming → Event coverage). Suggested addition after the sentence ending "...It was held on December 17, 2025, and aired in simulcast on Golf Channel and USA Network.":

A second edition, the Optum Golf Channel Games, is scheduled for December 16, 2026, at the same venue, with McIlroy and Scheffler returning as captains.[6]

Thank you for considering these — whether and how to use any of it is entirely editors' call. Happy to adjust wording or provide further sourcing if useful.
