Disclosure: I am a paid contributor working on behalf of the article subject, Michael Grecco, through Frogman Media Group, as disclosed on my user page. Per WP:COI, I am proposing changes here rather than editing the article directly. This is the first of several planned requests; each will be small and fully sourced.
Request 1: Reorganize the awards content into its own section, with two corrections
The article's awards content currently sits in a single unlabeled paragraph (beginning "In 1995 Photo District News named Grecco..."). I propose replacing that paragraph with a titled section, as follows.
Current text to be replaced:
- In 1995 Photo District News named Grecco in their "Lighting Master" series. Grecco has received 5 Awards of Excellence from Communication Arts Magazine and in June 2001 was named a Hasselblad Master. He also received several awards in the 2011 Prix de la Photographie Paris competition including ones for his portraits of Steve Martin and Martin Scorsese and in 2012 was one of the eight recipients of the Professional Photographer Leadership Award from the United Nations International Photographic Council. As a staff photographer for the Boston Herald, he won several Boston Press Photographers awards.
Proposed replacement:
== Awards and recognition ==
In 1995, Photo District News included Grecco in its "Lighting Master" series. His work has been recognized by Communication Arts,[1][2] and in 2001 he was named a Hasselblad Master.[3]
Grecco received awards in the 2011 Prix de la Photographie Paris competition, including for portraits of Steve Martin and Martin Scorsese.[4] In 2012, he was among the recipients of the Professional Photographer Leadership Award presented by the International Photographic Council, a United Nations affiliated non-governmental organization.[5]
As an executive producer of the documentary series PUNK (Epix, 2019), Grecco shared in the series' 2020 Leo Award for Best Documentary Series.[6]
As a staff photographer for the Boston Herald, Grecco won several Boston Press Photographers Association awards.[7]

Rationale for the changes within this reorganization:
- The sentence "Grecco has received 5 Awards of Excellence from Communication Arts Magazine" currently carries no citation for the specific number. I propose the more conservative "His work has been recognized by Communication Arts," supported by two Communication Arts project features. This removes an unsourced figure rather than adding promotional content.
- The Leo Award sentence is a new, sourced addition (executive producer credit and award are both documented in the linked announcement).
- The Boston Press Photographers Association sentence retains the existing citation already used in the article for that claim.
- All other content is unchanged in substance; it is only organized under a standard section heading.
Request 2: Typo correction
In the career paragraph, "That lead to being asked by Fox Broadcasting" should read "That led to being asked by Fox Broadcasting."
Thank you for reviewing. I am happy to adjust wording or sourcing as editors see fit. Sabrena FMG (talk) 18:51, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
