Foske Tamar van der Wal

[edit]

I'm just dropping by to let you know that I am resurrecting a page that you deleted about five years ago, apparently because it was created by a banned user in violation of the ban. Let me assure you that I am not a banned user, and that I am recreating the article Foske Tamar van der Wal in good faith. It is a translation of an article on nl:WP, and I have recently translated quite a number of articles about Dutch speed skaters into English for en:WP. I trust that my article will find acceptance, as apparently my others have. Kelisi (talk) 02:46, 26 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Could you please draftify Eon Huntley (which you deleted at AFD) and Christian Celeste Tate (which you deleted at PROD)? Both of them won the Democratic primaries in safe blue seats (scroll to State Assembly and AD 54/56 in this link and search to confirm they are the nominees), so their victory should be tantamount to election. ミラP@Miraclepine 16:15, 26 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request to recover a deleted article

[edit]

Hi, I am @Betelgeuse.478. I see that you recently deleted an article on Don Bosco School, Kokrajhar. I had been working on that article for a long time, and I request that you reconsider your decision to delete the page. It's an article about an educational institution, and it falls within all the notability criterias. I have been looking for more references other than the school website to add to the article when suddenly I found that the page has been deleted. Please look into it. Thank you. Betelgeuse.478 (talk) 17:25, 26 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Betelgeuse.478: Done – as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored upon request. ✗plicit 07:25, 27 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello, can I contest this recently-deleted PROD? Does the contestation also provide for restoration of incoming links, or do I have to punch them all back in myself? Thanks Chubbles (talk) 14:02, 27 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Chubbles: I have restored the article and reverted my delinking edits. ✗plicit 14:14, 27 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

We had the image on Xybots for years, I don't know why it was removed because it showed alternative artwork for the game that was used on the Lynx cover. I consider this edit that removed it was a bad faith edit and I would very much like the image restored please. Regards. Govvy (talk) 20:21, 27 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request to draftify / restore: Qamar Muneer Akbar (Procedural Review)

[edit]

Hello Explicit,

Hope your doing well :)

I am writing to request that the deleted article Qamar Muneer Akbar (deleted following AfD on 16 July 2026) be restored to main space (e.g., Qamar Muneer Akbar).

There were significant procedural concerns during the original deletion discussion that impacted the consensus and warrant a review under WP:DRVPURPOSE:

1. Pre-Nomination Content Blanking (WP:BEFORE): Four minutes prior to the AfD nomination, key source material and recognition details were stripped from the page by the nominator. As a result, reviewing editors evaluated an artificially reduced version rather than the full, verifiable scope of the subject's accomplishments.

2. Similar Ongoing Procedural Issues: A similar situation is currently unfolding on Sitara Brooj Akbar,(from the same user who nominated the first article) where valid sources and recognition details were removed prior to deletion nominations, and where a speedy deletion attempt was previously rejected due to misapplied policies. Both subjects independently meet WP:GNG.

3. Non-Policy Arguments (WP:NOTINHERITED / WP:FAMILY): Much of the deletion consensus relied on personal preferences regarding family representation (e.g., claiming "we don't need a Wikipedia article on each member of this gifted family"). Per WP:NOTINHERITED, each subject must be evaluated independently based on reliable sources, with no ceiling on family member representation.

4. Style vs. Deletion (WP:ATD-REWRITE / WP:CLEANUP): Concerns that the article "reads like a resume" or presents a "simple list of test scores" are layout and tone issues. Per WP:NOTFAIL, deletion is reserved exclusively for fundamental non-notability, whereas stylistic issues call for cleanup and rewriting under WP:FIXIT.

I have prepared a neutral, fully cited draft that addresses all layout, tone, and sourcing concerns. Would you consider restoring the page & reopening the deletion discussion to space so it can be evaluated fairly on its actual merits in articles for deletion?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best

@FestusBashara: Hi, I do not have the authority to unilaterally overturn the consensus which resulted in the deletion of this article. You may want to consider creating a draft and submitting your draft for review through the Articles for creation process. ✗plicit 12:18, 30 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello, thank you for letting me know! I will do it, is there any way to report the user who is making such changes? Currently the other article relating to the family has been put up for deletion from the same user 5 minutes after deleting page sources and then claiming no sources, the current consensus is to keep the page due to significant notability. Please check the page on Sitara Brooj Akbar.
Once again thank you for your help and guidance! It is highly appreciated. FestusBashara (talk) 14:32, 30 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hey Explicit! I recently today found out that my page Draft:Wemmbu got vandalised after getting deleted, and the page currently there is not certified and in my opinion should be replaced with my own page back, so my request is if you could check up on the guy that did it(the current editor) and restore my other draft of Wemmbu

@HyperlinkHavoc: Done – as a draft or Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored upon request. They are not for the indefinite hosting of material that is unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. Deletion review for Stone Key Partners

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Stone Key Partners. Because you closed the discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review.

No hard feelings! Just want to make sure the sources are considered.

Request to recover deleted articles

[edit]

Hi @User:Explicit, I am reaching out regarding some of the articles you just deleted: Nigeria Centenary Awards, Nura Abba Rimi, Angus Fraser (priest), Jeremiah Dermot O'Connell and Yakubu Dadu. These articles were written two to three years ago without any AI usage or assistance in any form and do not coincide with the period of my AI use here. I have explained the time (this year, mainly August) and extent of my AI usage at Wikipedia:AI_noticeboard/Bemmax and rewritten some of the pages that were tagged for presumptive removal; and another editor removed the LLMPROD tags. However, for these particular ones, there was no need to rewrite them, so I only went through them to check if the references cited were still active; of which I removed some dead links and replaced them with live one. If I wrote them with AI, I would have rewritten them or put them among those I was asked to select for draftification. The editor who opened the presumptive AI case has said the articles shouldn't have been llmprod'd, as they fall outside of the time. I am requesting you take a look again if this was an oversight (or because the tags were yet to be removed) and reverse the deletion. I didn't remove the LLMPROD tags earlier because I thought it would be unethical of me to do so. Kind regards. Bemmax (talk) 12:54, 2 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

Unlinking deleted items

[edit]

Hi Explicit, I noticed that a few of your recent AfD closes unlinked deleted items from lists at List of unincorporated communities in Washington and List of cities, towns and villages in Kerman province instead of removing them. Geostubs that fail verification should always be removed entirely. I'm not sure if it has to do with the formatting of those lists/tables or if there's a glitch with XFDcloser, but just thought I'd give you a heads up. –dlthewave ☎ 04:22, 3 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

Explicit, I just noticed another set of delinks on the Washington article. I suspect it has to do with it being a table instead of a list. Could you please correct them and make sure they're being removed entirely going forward? Thanks –dlthewave ☎ 00:39, 4 November 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Dlthewave: Hi, XFDCloser will automatically unlink a page, including in tables, unless it is in bulleted form. In the latter case, it prompts users to review and decide if the entry should be unlinked, removed, or tagged with {{cn}}. Linked entries in navboxes produce a lot of false positives due to tranclusions on other pages, which would require a review of dozens and sometimes of links, which is what your request would require me to do. ✗plicit 06:07, 4 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello…

[edit]

…you deleted a page Homecoming (2021 play) due to LLM concerns which I had already addressed. I didn’t deprod it because deproding LLM prods is a an unfamiliar topic for me. Can you check the page history to confirm my story? Best, Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 15:05, 3 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

Also, you can restore it to my userspace if you’re not certain if it contains LLM or not. Best, Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 15:05, 3 November 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Reading Beans: You remove some text from the article, but was still deleted because the remaining text was still presumptively written by LLM. You must fundamentally rewrite the article from scratch. Are you prepared to do that if restored to your userspace? ✗plicit 06:07, 4 November 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Explicit, yes, I am. Best, Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 13:47, 4 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

File:Home taping is killing music.png

[edit]

Hi Explicit. Since File:Home taping is killing music.png has been relicensed as non-free per Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2026 October 26#File:Home taping is killing music.png, it's use in User talk:Iridescent/Archive 26#Things now fails NFCC#9. I thought about removing the file myself, but that's an archived user talk page. JJMC89 bot most likely will flag the file as a NFCC#9 violation on one of it's upcoming runs, but the bot has a tendency to brute-force remove file syntax when it does (which sometimes mucks up other stuff). Would you mind taking a look at this? Perhaps there's a way to covert the file to a link? -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:19, 4 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Marchjuly: Hi, I missed that detail when closing the discussion. I have edited it from a file display to a file link instead. ✗plicit 06:07, 4 November 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for taking a look at this. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:29, 4 November 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request to recover Ossai Ifeanyi Nwabuonwu to draft space

[edit]

Hello Explicit. I am Ifeanyi Ossai, the CribMD co-founder and the subject of the deleted biography, so I have a conflict of interest. I would like to recover the text for a neutral draft and independent review through Articles for Creation.

You closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ifeanyi Ossai on 25 February 2025 and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ossai Ifeanyi Nwabuonwu on 25 November 2025. Could you restore the latter article to Draft:Ossai Ifeanyi Nwabuonwu, or advise how I can obtain a copy if draft restoration is unsuitable?

I understand that the discussions raised concerns about independent sourcing, promotional language and unsupported claims. The recovered text would need those issues addressed before any submission for publication. I am not asking to overturn the deletion decisions automatically.

The original Ifeanyi Ossai page was created about me in May 2023. After its deletion, the separate article about the Enugu deputy governor was moved to that title in June 2025. We are different people; this request concerns the deleted entrepreneur biography and does not request changes to the deputy governor's biography.

Two sources available for assessment are:

These are older sources, not new reporting since the deletions. They contain founder interviews and company coverage, and I understand their independence and sufficiency for a biography would need review.

This request was prepared with AI assistance and is submitted for administrative guidance, with my connection to the subject disclosed. ~2026-58730-73 (talk) 06:09, 4 November 2026 (UTC)Reply
