Temuera Derek Morrison MNZM (lahir 26 Disember 1960) ialah seorang pelakon dari New Zealand.
Beliau kini mendiami New Zealand namuns sering membahagikan masa dalam produksi di negara tersebut, Australia serta di Amerika Syarikat.
Awal hidup
[sunting | sunting sumber]Temuera lahir di Rotorua, Pulau Utara New Zealand kepada Hana Stafford/Morrison dan Laurie Morrison, seorang pemuzik.[1] Beliau berdarah kacukan Māori (dari suku-suku Whakaue, Maniapoto dan Rarua), Scotland dan Ireland.[2] Beliau ada seorang kakak, Taini Morrison yang merupakan penari kapa haka; bapa saudaranya Howard Morrison pemuzik dan penghibur terkenal.
Beliau bersekolah di Wesley College, Auckland dan Western Heights High School di Rotorua.
Penceburan dalam seni lakonan
[sunting | sunting sumber]Beliau mula terkenal dalam siri drama televisyen Shortland Street untuk TVNZ2 melakonkan watak doktor Hone Ropata sejak dari episod pertama yang disiarkan 25 Mei 1992 sampai 5 Mei 1995.[3][4]
Kerjaya antarabangsa
[sunting | sunting sumber]Temuera mula terkenal di luar New Zealand dengan lakonannya sebagai Jake "The Muss" Heke dalam filem Once Were Warriors pada tahun 1994. Beliau kemudiannya diberi perhatian pada tahun 2002 sebagai pelakon watak pemburu upahan Jango Fett serta klon-klonnya dalam filem Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones[5] dan sekuelnya Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith; beliau melakonkan suara anak Jango, Boba Fett, menggantikan Jason Wingreen. Beliau tampil sebagai Boba Fett fdalam musim kedua siri The Mandalorian (2020).[6][7]
Beliau muncul sebagai watak Tom Curry, ayah kepada Arthur Curry dalam filem adiwira Aquaman tahun 2018 dan susulannya Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom pada 2023.[8]
Pada tahun 2022, beliau terlibat dalam projek siri drama sejarah Chief of War diterbitkan dan dibintangi bersama Jason Momoa untuk tayangan di pelantar penstriman Apple TV+ pada 2025.[9][10]
