Founded in 1855 by Bishop John Armstrong, St Andrew’s College was established as a place where young men would be formed in character as much as intellect, guided by the Anglican tradition and the example of its patron saint. The school’s motto, 'Nec Aspera Terrent' (“Difficulties do not dismay us”), echoes St Andrew’s resilience and faith in the face of adversity.
