ジニ係数（Gini coefficient）は、
社会の“ばらつき”を一つの数字で表す指標です。
数字が大きいほど、格差が大きい傾向を示します。
ここで大事なのは、ジニ係数が便利な分、
「どこがどう変わったか」を隠しやすい点です。
上の層が伸びたのか、下の層が沈んだのか、
中間層が薄くなったのか。
同じ「上がった」でも中身は違います。
だから研究や読解では、
ジニ係数を見たら一歩進んで、
「中央値（median）や百分位（percentile）も見よう」
という流れになります。
数字は結論ではなく、問いの入口なのです。
