@nemoleeexe The Trope is called She Is the King. Quite a few of those in fiction too. I like the way dragons do it in Patricia C. Wrede's Enchanted Forest Chronicles. That is-- they have a contest to decide who is the king of dragons, and it's a gender neutral title. They also have a separate job called Queen of Dragons which is also gender neutral...

The Baltic countries were never members of the Sovjet Union. They were suverain countries under hostile occupation. According some countries, Denmark among them. Sweden, on the other hand, recognized the annexation and gave the Sovjet Union the gold that these countries had brought to "safety" in Sweden. This caused a lot of bad feelings against Sweden. AFAIK he Swedish government eventually paid the same amount of gold to the Baltic countries.
@nemoleeexe
Yeah but they stopped the baltic streak.
Finland is actually older than 100 years, its independence just isn't. Or is by five days now. The current baltic independence is in their late twenties.
If the turnip latern was old, the turnip latern would be 789 years old in pumpkin years, the adult jack-o-lantern would be 148 years old in pumpkin years, and the baby pumpkin 26 years old in pumpkin years. Yeah, it’s compliacted.
North Korea is not communist, they don't even claim to be communist. Communism is Were everyone can have anything they want with in a reasonable limit because there is so much Surplus resources. North Korea is an Authoritarian directorship with a command economy. @nemoleeexe
'@Zentalon' " they don't even claim to be communist"
Yeah, riiiight...
"Juche usually left untranslated, or translated as "self-reliance", is the official state ideology of North Korea, described by the government as Kim Il-sung's "original, brilliant and revolutionary contribution to national and international thought". It says that an individual is "the master of his destiny", that the North Korean masses are to act as the "masters of the revolution and construction", and that by becoming a self-reliant and strong nation one can achieve true socialism.
Kim Il-sung (1912–1994) developed the ideology, originally viewed as a variant of Marxism–Leninism until it became distinctly "Korean" in character, whilst incorporating the historical materialist ideas of Marxism–Leninism and strongly emphasising the individual, the nation state and its sovereignty."
Nationalist-socialist isolationist country (nominally) directed in accordance with derivative of marxist-leninist theory is more commie than ChiComs.
"From each according to his ability, from each according to his need" was never a prerequisite of communist ideology, rather it was it's promised outcome. Also served to demonstrate that Marx was garbage economist.
While I get you're point - which I guess is that there is a difference between the ACTUAL definition of a communist society as described in Marx's writing and the definition used by the west during the Cold War and that many still use today - I think you should qualify that a bit more as most people don't understand that difference.
Because the countries called communist by the western powers during the Cold War was of course nothing like the utopian description in Marx purely theoretical writing.
