Oh, believe me - if we speak in realities of comic he is scared every morning, waking up and realizing how voices in his head keep driving him mad: "We do not need anybody else, my precious... Oil wells will never run dry... We need a third presidental term legalized... And more ex-intelligence in the parliament...! Moar, we say..!"
Trust me, that sure drives him to cold sweat and to thoghts about self-mutilation - the kind of which he was afraid for years and years.
Which decision? To actually finalise the 1st stage of a leaving deal, once the new Parliament allowed it? Or to say that being a servile fief of the EU as the latter is trying to demand, having to obey every rule and demand and continue to be controlled by the EU, is not on and that the EU should for once live up to its commitments?
@stevep59 No, the fact that he most likely downgraded on what England is getting out of the deal. I don't think this deal will benefit any country with business relations to England at all, and if not these countries then definitely not England. That is why I think it's rushed, the deal was probably only accepted because EU saw that England had cut a lot of their demands from when Theresa May tried with the deal.
Well it would be difficult to get a worse deal than what the EU is pushing for. That Britain continues to be obedient to all EU laws, to have its fisheries and other assets controlled by the EU and to continue subsidising the EU when having no say in it at all. There are basis for a balanced deal - the Canadian option being the most obvious one but that would need the EU to move a long way and drop its idea of punishing Britain. If they insist on defaulting to world trade terms that would hurt both sides but that would be their decision.
The main concession he made, is to accept a continuation of full compliance FOR THE MOMENT with all EU legislation to prevent the EU carrying out its threat to kill off the GFA, I can't see the latter surviving however unless they accept a trade deal which will allow it to exist which looks unlikely.
@scarhunter There are several places in the world where this is not the norm and they will walk around indoor with shoes on. While I was in China and living in the dorms you could tell this because some had stacks of shoes outside their doors, some had bought little shelves to put them on inside the door (me) and some really didn't care. Most of the friends I made who didn't give when it came to shoes were American though, but I have heard there are parts of Europe who don't mind either and pretty sure there are other parts of the world as well.
But yes, if you bring your shoes in there will just be more to clean. Especially for our countries... snow on shoes is the worst when you enter your home.
